Former Stanford football player Solomon Thomas is now a 49er, but Thomas has given back to his alma mater in an interesting way. Thomas donated $5,000 to the Stanford football program to put towards Headspace subscriptions for the players. Headspace is a well-known app in the world of meditation; players in all sports have been using it to center themselves before competition or training. Thomas became interested in meditation after the death of his sister and chose to pay forward the benefits of meditation to his alma mater.
