Robin Lundberg: Myles Garrett and the Cleveland Browns have reportedly started contract negotiations that could lead to a megadeal extension. For more, I'm joined now by Pete Smith of Browns Digest and Conor Orr of the MMQB. Pete, let's start with you. What are you hearing? What's the latest?

Pete Smith: Well, they've been talking about this deal for a while. They want to get it done. They want to get it done now. This has been going on for a while because Bus Cook, his agent, is also the agent for Jadeveon Clowney, which is sort of where that talk has been going. Miles Garrett's motivated to get the deal done now. This has been something they've wanted to work out for a while. This is an important deal for them. This is obviously their best player on the team. This is sort of the deal that they want to get done before the season gets going.

Robin Lundberg: Now, Conor, obviously Garrett is a heck of a player. But are you surprised at all that we have gotten rid of that suspension and now we're onto the extension?

Conor Orr: Well, I think the extension is a smart move for the Browns right now, because if you look ahead at the 2021 free agent class, there's going to be a lot of guys that drive that market price up. You're going to have Bosa coming up for a new deal. There's a ton of edge rushers in that class. They're just going to keep elevating that market. So you get the deal done now and you don't pay that premium for waiting. They know he's going to be there forever. So you might as well just make it official, and the suspension, you know, it seems like it's in everybody's rearview mirror at this point.
